Sayulita Escape
Not far from Vallarta is a world-famous, Mexican beach town called Sayulita. Know for it surfing, shopping and cool, hippy-chic vibe, a visit to this town is a great addition to any trip to Vallarta. On this tour you'll drive to Sayulita in fun off-road vehicles and explore the backroads of Punta Mita. You'll walk the streets of the unique town taking in the eclectic arts and crafts and beach scene. Home to some of the finest resorts and most beautiful beaches in Mexico, you get to enjoy a visit to the Punta Mita area. This area makes up the northern tip of the Bay of Banderas and is the point where we will jump onto the off-road buggies for the fun and exciting drive to Sayulita. Let the fun begin! After an introduction to your off-roader, your guide will lead you out of the Punta Mita area on some beautiful backroads as you head north toward Sayulita. We'll break off the main road and explore a river-bed road down toward an isolated beach, passing farms and fields along the way. We will drop into Sayulita from the backroads and drive through the outskirts of town to a dirt road that take us to the town cemetery and small beach. We'll take a brief break - here you can buy a cold coconut for a tasty and refreshing drink while checking out the beach and small, traditional cemetery. Enter Sayulita from the stunning south part of town, which provides a complete view of the beach. We'll drive through the town, getting a feel for the small community, before parking the buggies. Then it is time to walk the streets for some amazing shopping or exploring and to get a bite to eat. After some fun strolling the streets and beach of Sayulita, head back to the buggies for the exciting drive back to Punta Mita.
